This statement outlines the social, environmental and economic responsibilities we as a responsible company have, to the environment, our stakeholders and the local community.
Stroma Ltd is a strong believer in ‘development leads to success’. Understanding progress can have positive and negative impacts, both internally and externally, we are committed to taking a pro-active approach to being a responsible organisation.
Responsibilities
1. Customers
Understanding our customers have their own commitments, responsibilities and reputations we will strive to:
Maintain an excellent standard of customer service and establish first-rate working relationships
Produce exceptional quality print and continually evolve our portfolio of products and services
Increase the range of recycled products and further develop our Environmental Management System (EMS) to become ISO 14001 and FSC accredited
Give reassurance that we are a responsible supplier
2. Manufacturing Processes
With so many variables in any production facility there are always improvements to be made, we acknowledge this and actively look at where and how we can make progress in: Efficiency – researching new production techniques, modernisation, energy consumption and minimal production wastage Environmental Impact – by recycling waste materials, disposing of hazardous chemicals via registered specialist companies and when possible the use of sustainable resources Risk Management – adhering to health and safety regulations, minimise the risk of pollution and continually review our processes Maintenance – for the reliable and efficient operation of machinery
3. Employees
Stroma Ltd is a company that believes a successful business stems from a close and motivated workforce. It is our responsibility to ensure a safe and positive working environment, we therefore:

4. Community
We believe businesses both large and small should be considerate of its local community and citizens as a whole, so we:
Support four charities through different forms of fundraising. Over the past three years we have helped raise in excess of £10,000 in various ways from running marathons to supplying printed materials
Employ local residents
Provide work experience for local students
Donate scrap paper to local schools
5. Suppliers
We understand that our business relies on our suppliers so we build strong relationships to instill confidence for both parties by:
Paying suppliers promptly
Observing the performance of our suppliers
Communicating on a regular basis
6. Environment
At Stroma Ltd we have been taking steps forward to minimise the impact of our business on the environment by:
Planning & developing an Environmental Management System which will be reviewed on a regular basis
Taking measures to reduce energy consumption. e.g. low energy lighting
Recycling waste cardboard, paper, toner cartridges and bottles
Disposing of hazardous chemicals safely through registered specialists
Planning for FSC, PEFC, and ISO14001 accreditation
